South Beach icon, Clevelander Hotel, as well as sister properties, Essex House Hotel and Stiles Hotel, located in the heart of South Beach are currently hiring qualified Housekeeping Guest Room Attendants to join our team of passionate service professionals.

The Guest Room Attendant ensures a positive overall impression of the property as well as provides the necessary service of ensuring clean and comfortable rooms for guests. This position directly contributes to the success and reputation of the hotel by providing professional services that meet the company's high standard for cleanliness and safety.

DUTIES

+Works as part of a team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in guest rooms and public areas

+Performs detailed cleaning of appliances (refrigerators, coffee makers, etc.) within guest rooms

+Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes bathroom surfaces, floors and fixtures to meet company standards

+Changes bed linen, replaces towels, vacuums, dusts and performs other cleaning duties necessary to meet the company's standards

+Restocks linen, water glasses and bathroom amenities in guest rooms

+Inspects room items such as alarms, light bulbs, TV, remote control, hairdryer, toilet and sinks to ensure they are properly working and meet the hotel's high quality standards

+Documents and coordinates maintenance and repairs with the Engineering team

+Notifies Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager when cleaning is complete so rooms may be inspected

+Maintains par levels for linen and supplies in the designated housekeeping storage areas; and informs Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager when supplies fall below pars

+Works closely with the front desk to keep room status reports up to date; informs team of late check-outs, stay-overs, room moves and other special requests

+Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager, Safety & Risk or Hotel Operations Manager

+Reports and/or logs all lost and found items according to established procedures

+Maintains a professional appearance and a positive, friendly demeanor at all times

+Is patient, helpful and interested in the welfare of all guests and team members

+Adheres to all company conduct policies and operating procedures; and ensures work is completed in the necessary time frame

+Attends department pre-shifts and other meetings as scheduled by management

+Communicates all pertinent information to coworkers and managers daily prior to the end of the shift

+Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

+Must have at least 1 year of previous experience in housekeeping preferably in a hotel

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

+Excellent verbal communication skills

+Receives and follows directions well

+Knowledge of general housekeeping practices

+Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills

Working Conditions:

+Work is not performed in an office environment and requires evening and weekend hours
